Every year the PGA Tour’s 30 best golfers compete at the historic East Lake Golf Course attracting tens of thousands of spectators eager to get autographs, watch the world’s premiere golfers and enjoy a little Southern hospitality. Whether it’s the Kentucky Derby or a PGA tournament, you will find fashionable ladies as they debut the latest resort casual apparel.
Walking along the entrance parkway is makeup artist from New Jersey, Samantha Rosanne, who introduced herself and her husband, an avid golfer. Together the newlyweds travel to several tournaments every year where he enjoys the golf and she enjoys looking her best wearing an airy Adriana Papell jumpsuit, Channel handbag, Cartier jewelry and Dita sunglasses.
At the 10th tee box Caitlin Westmoreland, a Sprint sales manager, stood out from the crowd in a colorful, striped sundress from J. Crew and “no name” sunglasses. Her fashion style is to look trendy, fashion forward without spending a fortune. The perky blonde from Woodstock, Georgia does not buy designer labels, but prefers ready-to-wear attire from Bebe, J. Crew and H&M where properly selected affordable fashion items can trump the designer labels.
Next to the 8th green, attractive brunette from Atlanta, Hanley Bradfield, and her boyfriend, Phil, drove to Newnan, Georgia, more than 100 miles to Lizard Thicket, a chic boutique, to buy the blue romper especially for the golf tournament. When asked about the tattoo on her shoulder, Haley, an occupational therapist and yoga instructor, said “The tattoo symbolizes 3E LOVE – Enable, Educate, Empower and Love Life, an organization highlighting one’s ability instead of disability”. Check out the website at www.3elove.com where you can find out more about the movement and get involved.
Along the 16th fairway heading toward the putting green, a striking young lady, Mary Hollis McGrivey, was with her boyfriend, Parth Vakil, and both were impeccably dressed. Born in Charleston and now living in Atlanta the talkative brunette, a fund raiser for Alpha Delta Phi, dressed comfortably with the classic preppy looks from Maybell, Lilly and J. Crew with her boyfriend springing on the Sunday Somewhere sunglasses. She wore an attractive Seiko watch that complimented Parth’s Rolex. The Rolex looked like it would have cost a big chunk of the income from his career in wealth management, but it did look the part.
Standing aside the 18th tee box waiting for the next group of golfers, Megan Micheletti and her friend, Kelly Red, seemed more interested in the young eligible male spectators than the golf tournament. Megan, who lives in Atlanta and works as a software sales associate, loves to dress casual with flare and was wearing an off shoulder, light denim dress with rose blossom embroidery, recently purchased from a local boutique. Always on time and connected with the Apple watch, the Georgia Southern graduate sported an Italian leather envelope clutch, a souvenir from her semester aboard studying lightly and playing hard, all part of an “A” grade.
