As a young child dreaming about becoming a fashion designer, Antonio Matarazzo would reconstruct his school clothing into one-of-a-kind designs catching the eye of Francesca Lanticina, a friend and eventual business partner.

Lanticina came from a close knit, middle class family, worked her way through school, and graduated as a fashion designer from Milan’s legendary Instituto Marangoni along with esteemed alumni including Franco Moschino of Moschino, Alessandra Facchinetti of Valentino, and Alessandro Sartori of Berluti. The institute is very highly regarded, second only to Parsons The New School For Design in New York City.

In 2011 Ms. Lanticina and the self-taught fashion designer, Mr. Matarazzo, created the fashion brand, Flos Floris, meaning “flower “ in Latin. After a couple of rough years learning the business side of the industry, the Flos Floris collection was well received at the Pitti Immagine Uomo in Florence, 84th edition.
